After reading Tuesdays with Morrie, I realized that I wasn't living really. I mean, I am alive, but I don't live everyday to the fullest. If reading Tuesdays with Morrie has taught me anything it's that you need to appreciate your life, and live it to the fullest! If one doesn't live life to the fullest, then one may be looking back on their life wondering, "Well, what if i had done that?" or "What would it have been like if i did this differently?". Morrie strongly discourages this to happen, he feels that life is a gift, that's why we call it the present. Now he didn't say those exact words, but he said it in so many ways. If Albotm had never had his Tuesdays with Morrie, then Albom would have just been living for accomplishments. Yes, this is rewarding in a way, but it isn't satisfactory to your life philosophically.
