Loss. It  happens to all of us eventually. We lose something or maybe even someone. Most of the time people associate loss with negative feelings and negative events. I wonder though, have those people ever thought off the positive aspect of loss? Loss can be a positive thing, it causes you to open your eyes to something knew. Maybe even something immensely better! When I was 8 I went to the countryside of New York with my family. We all went there because our family friend was getting married and she asked me to be her flower girl. I was so excited to be in a wedding, since I had never even been to one before. We got all packed up and headed down there, I brought along my stuffed lamb. My stuff lamb was named Lamby (what can I say I was little) and I had Lamby since I was born. She was with me on every trip we took and I couldn't wait for her to see New York. I had a great time being in the wedding, and it was the last day of our trip. We were all packed up and ready to go and off we drove towards the airport. I got home and couldn't wait for Lamby to come out of the suitcase. To my dimay, she was gone. Somehow she hadn't been packed and was still in New York. I cried for days and days about the loss of Lamby. One day I cam home and on my bed lay a new animal, this time a monkey. I named he Fifi and she became the new Lamby. So by experiencing the loss of Lamby, I eventually opened my eyes to something new. So, loss can be a good thing. It allows one to expand their horizans, so to speak. It gets you to try new things, maybe something you thought would be awful. Can you believe loss can do all that? So next time you lose something, think of the new possibilities.
