When we talked about the "Box Man" in class, something that we talked about was conformity and non-conformity. I feel that there is such a thing as non-conformity. If there wasn't such a thing, then everyone would be exactly the same, doing the same thing, in the exact same way. Obviously, the aforementioned is not true. If it were then there would only be one option to go to school, one career path, one food to eat, one thing to wear, and one way to talk. In some things, though, there is conformity because if I someone strutting down the halls in some fabulous outfit, then if I feel like it would look good on me, I join the trend. So conformity is seen a lot in fashion. One place that non-conformity should be present more is with peer pressure. I feel that there should be way less people trying to get there friends follow them down the path of drugs/smoking/drinking. This is a situation where there should be non-conformity. I feel that if there is non-conformity there, then a lot more people could say, "No, that's not my style." or something to that effect. Overall there is definitely non-conformity.
